FAQ

PAYMENT

We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your order.  Full payment is required 1 day prior to your event date.  We will not start an order or deliver without full payment.  Our preferred method of payment is via Bank Deposit.  We also take credit card payment (Visa and Mastercard).  

Non-payment of invoices with final notices will be sent to a debt collector agency, tribunal or magistrate's court.  All fees and charges for the debt collector service or any legal proceedings that arise due to non payment of invoices will be at customer expense.​ 

 

Please communicate any difficulties as they arise and we will do our best to avoid legal issues.

STORAGE OF FOOD

Most of the food must be stored in a refrigerator between 0-5 degrees Celcius. Food has use by date wich must be observed.

 

Once food have been picked up or delivery, it is the responsibility for the customer to store and treat the items with care. We will not be held responsible for damaged food purchased from us.

 

Please contact us immediately if you have any other questions concerning food safety.

ORDERS

We prefer at least 3 days' notice for orders. You can order by phone 0424583232 or via contact form. We will reply within 48 hours.  For urgent orders, please do not hesitate to call us.  We will try our best to accommodate your order if possible.

 

Please note that orders must be made for at least 4 people.

Please be sure to provide the following details: your contact number, name, address, number of guests, desired number of courses (appetizers, starters, entrées, mains, and desserts), date of event, and desired pick-up/delivery date.

For any special requests, we will be in touch with a quote ASAP.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUND POLICY

All requests to cancel or change the order need to be made in writing. For cancellation, the 50% deposit may be refunded if you let us know in writing within 3 hours of booking. Otherwise, refunds will be at the discretion of Le Pot de Moutarde.

DELIVERY AND PICK UPS

We mainly service Camberwell/Hawthorn East. Our food can be collected from our kitchen in Hawthorn East or we can organise for delivery/pickup in Melbourne or the CBD for a fee.  Please contact us for delivery fees.

 

Although every possible care will be taken with the delivery and set up, once delivered or picked up, the food becomes the responsibility of the customer and we cannot be held responsible for any damage to food once it is in the care of the customer.

 

In the case of pick ups, it is your responsibilty to ensure that you arrive with the right kind of vehicle with enough space for food. We recommend a flat area, and no objects around the food for transportation. We do not recommend transporting the food on passenger seats.  In hot weather conditions, please keep your airconditioner on in the vehicle.

ALLERGIES

Le Pot de Moutarde will not be held responsible for any nuts, eggs, lactose, gluten or any allergies.  All our products likely contain traces of nuts, eggs, lactose or gluten, as they are the main ingredients we use for cooking in our kitchen.  It is the responsibility of customers to inform their guests that traces of nuts, eggs, lactose and gluten COULD be present in our food.  If your guests have any allergies, you may purchase a separate menu for them from a speciality store and ask them to pack each item separately to avoid food contamination.  Please seek advice from your guests about which store is right for them.
